Photo ID now required to vote at the polls
If you vote in-person, you must present one of the acceptable forms of ID to cast a ballot.
What if you don't have an IDs? Here are some quick tips to get help, get what you need and make sure your vote counts!
- Get a FREE Georgia Voter ID Card at your county voter registration office. Click here for locations. Simply ask the registrar to pull your voter registration file and verify your identity.
- Visit any Department of Driver Services to obtain a FREE Georgia Voter ID Card. You must present proof of your identity such as a birth certificate, paycheck or paycheck stub, your last tax return, original social security or Medicare/Medicaid statement or others. For a full list, click here.

Valid U.S. Passport
Employee ID from any branch of the U.S. government
Valid military ID
Valid tribal ID
